Matt Wemple
President
Matt Wemple has been the President of NEIS, Inc. since 1995. In its 75-year existence, NEIS has only had two Presidents. When Matt joined NEIS in 1985, the company only handled the six New England states with gross billings of $20,000. It has since grown to 28 states and is actively expanding, both in terms of territory and services offered. NEIS is one of the few remaining service companies to offer both Premium Audit and Loss Control services.
Matt started working for NEIS in 1985 as a field auditor/inspector. After ten years of learning the intricacies of fieldwork, he converted to management. Since then, he has been strategically involved in Marketing, IT, Operations, Review and Acquisitions. NEIS is extremely proud of its acquisition history as all have been totally successful in aiding the business to grow and prosper. Due to the large size of NEIS at this point, all functions are delegated to an outstanding management team.
Matt has a BS in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. He enjoys scuba diving, fishing and exercising.
Jennifer Clock
Executive Vice President
Jennifer has been with NEIS, Inc. for over 18 years. Having held numerous leadership roles within the organization Jennifer has been an integral part of NEIS, Inc.'s growth over the last decade.
Utilizing standardization methods, Jennifer has streamlined numerous company-wide activities administratively and operationally leading to growth opportunities for NEIS, Inc. She has also driven the design and implementation of policies which contribute to NEIS current ability to reach time service imperatives.
In her free time, Jennifer enjoys running, the beach and local community service.
Jennifer attended Eastern Connecticut State University and received a BS with a Major in Political Science with a Minor in Communications. She is also currently pursuing an MBA at Quinnipiac University.
David Harris
Senior Vice President
David has been in the Insurance Premium Audit and Loss Control industry for over 30 years. Experience includes performing audits and surveys, later moving into territory and regional manager positions where he was responsible for total business unit performance. He later assumed the role of Regional Vice President with responsibility for over 23 states, including sales oversight. As Senior Vice President, David managed phone & remote solutions, automated products, customer service units, and internal processing. During his career, he has been engaged in production, audit and survey review, product development, training and resource development, software development and execution, integration of acquisitions, and many strategic and tactical projects.
David spent several years in the dental industry as VP of Operations and Development, responsible for overall performance of the operating division as well as the development & execution of the DENOVO expansion platform. He also managed the operations support division, equipment and supply formulary, facility repair & maintenance, and security.
A graduate of the University of Colorado with a major in Finance, David obtained his Associate in Premium Auditing (APA) designation and has been active in local audit associations.
Kevin Kramer
Vice President of Quality Review & Training
Worked in the commercial property & casualty insurance industry since 1985. Most experience is in premium audits both on the carrier and vendor side. Started carrier as a field premium auditor, then premium audit manager and eventually Director of Premium Audit and Premium Receivables for a large commercial carrier.
Also worked for a large premium audit vendor as Vice President of Quality Assurance, Training and Remote audit operations. Currently working for NEIS as Director of Quality Assurance and Training as well as assisting with the conversion of our voluntary audit process to our new electronic portal. Educational background includes a BA in Business Administration & Economics and MBA in Finance. Industry designation sheld are APA, CIPA and PMP.
Kevin Skinnon
Vice President of Loss Control
Kevin was born and raised in Meriden, CT where he attended Maloney High School. After graduation, he spent a year at the University of Connecticut before transferring to American University in Washington D.C. where he majored in Criminal Justice.
Starting as a Personal Lines Field Inspector as a summer job after college in 2001, Kevin enjoyed the diversity and challenge of the job and quickly found a home at NEIS. Kevin continued forward, gaining experience in Commercial Lines before taking a position in the office as a valuation specialist, supervisor and manager before moving into his current role as Vice President of Loss Control.
Maria Russo
Director of Telephone and Mail Audits
Maria Russo has been with NEIS, Inc. for over twenty years. Entering as a premium auditor, Maria has elevated into management and worked to grow the NEIS, Inc. phone unit substantially over the past decade. Product development of online and voluntary audits yielded large growth for the unit all under Maria’s oversight. Currently, the phone unit encompasses online, phone and verified phone audits for NEIS, Inc.
Maria has raised two children and was involved in all sporting and school activities with them. In her free time, Maria enjoys running, gardening, and crocheting.
Melody Gravil
Director of Human Resources
Melody Gravil is the Human Resource Director bringing over 20 years of experience in auditing, human resources, EEO Compliance, training, etc. to our team. While at NEIS she developed the training program, streamlined our hiring process and developed our Human Resource Department, which she currently oversees. She works with our HR team to identify prospective talent and collaborates with other departments to streamline the company’s organizational development. Prior to joining NEIS, she was an Auditor, Audit Manager and EEO Compliance Officer for a premium audit firm and the state of Kentucky. Melody earned her B.A. from Mid-Continent University and is a member of SHRM.
